As I drove to work this morning, I was listening to a talk given during the 2003 General Conference of the LDS Church. It spoke of ways to ensure that your family will make "home" together. Our family has been sealed in the Lord's temple and I want more than anything to be able to be with my family forever. Anyway, here's a list of ideas that I came up with that I thought would help our family get closer and that might help ensure that we all stay on the right path:
* Read Scriptures and Pray together every morning and night.
* Exercise together.
* Have a common hobby (i.e. hiking or biking).
* Work together.
* Volunteer.
* Have regular family meetings and/or interviews.
I think that there were more things, but my list is in the Suburban and I am too tired to go outside and get it. I will add them later, if there are more.

Affirmations
Today I was inspired to have the whole family come up with 3-5 positive affirmations each. We will read these when we go to bed and when we wake up. We did this during FHE tonight. Honestly, we haven't been holding FHE on an anyway near regular basis. I hope to change that starting today. All of us completed at least three affirmations or goals that we would like to achieve. Morgan was very excited to complete the task and wrote out some truly sweet things. Aubriana wrote hers down while she wrote her new book on Quails. Sierra wrote hers while embarrassing a consistent scowl. And Caleb was starving and had to have his bowl of Tutti Fruits before he could write his out. It was so nice to get together as a family and sit down and have a discussion without the interruptions of the television or computer. I hope that we will all choose to read our affirmations/goals everyday and that we will begin to see results from out efforts.
